This item was sold in our Independence Day online auction.
Both knives are forged from the same billet. The Go Mai billet is five layers consisting of a 1084 core, 15n20, nickel sheet, and the ship steel. The design represents a topo map of a shoreline. The handle is from the ship’s deck wood and curly maple. The combination of wood represents land and deep water.
