This item was sold in our Independence Day online auction.
It’s truly a privilege to be able to be a part of this wonderful program, and the historical preservation of a true Texas icon. The center core is 15 and 20 with ship steel on the outer layers. I called this knife the Tiger Shark because the pattern made me think of a tiger stripe pattern. The presentation box was a happy accident that we found on one of our shopping trips. That it had a map of the world across the top with all the oceans that the USS Texas spend its life sailing across. The handle material is deck wood from the ship that is stabilized. Through the process of burnishing, sanding, and then oil sealing made the handle look like it was actually used and carried. I’m excited to be a part of this program, and thank you very much for blessing us, and allowing us to be part of such a wonderful program
