Forged Picnic Set and Display Box with Cutting Board – SOLD

This item was sold at the Battleship Regatta Auction hosted by the Houston Yacht Club.
This fine set is made from torpedo blister steel and deck wood recovered from the Battleship Texas. The box retains the untouched character of the deck wood, with a silhouette of the USS Texas in a blue resin river that eerily suggests the ship at sea sailing out of the fog. The cutting board is cedar and blue resin.
